Direct Rescue System
Message from Tony, Yama Trips Founder: My parents survived the 1995 Kobe Earthquake. Today, I want to help others stay prepared in Japan.
DRS: The Answer to Your Worries
DRS is a professional-grade, life-saving location-sharing service built for emergencies in Japan. From remote mountains to earthquake-prone cities, DRS keeps you connected when it matters most.
・Real-time GPS tracking
・Trusted by mountain rescue teams and national disaster response units

Government-Approved Technology
DRS transmits on emergency radio frequencies approved for public safety use. Helicopters can detect the signal from several kilometers away—even if you're buried two meters underground.

National-Level Implementation
In 2025, all elementary school students in Suzu City (Noto Peninsula) will receive a DRS device. Japan is preparing now—before the next major disaster strikes.

Why DRS is Essential for Foreigners in Japan
Japan is one of the most disaster-prone countries in the world. Over 15,000 lives were lost during the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake. When the next large-scale quake hits Tokyo, Osaka, or coastal areas, public resources will be overwhelmed.
Government reports are clear: Help may not come fast enough. Self-reliance is critical.

DRS is your personal lifeline when the system fails.
・Sends your exact location, even without a phone signal
・Works independently from mobile networks or electricity
Trusted by official rescue agencies across Japan

Until now, DRS was only available to Japanese citizens. But through our partnership with YamaTrips, we're making this life-saving tech available to foreign residents—and later in 2025, to short-term visitors through rental options.
How It Works
1. Register online
2. Receive your personal beacon
3. Activate it in an emergency
4. Rescuers locate you via GPS + radio signal—even in remote or buried conditions
Unlike your phone, DRS does not rely on fragile infrastructure. It’s designed to function when everything else breaks down.
Important: One person in your group should share their COCOHELI ID with others in advance.
In an emergency, people nearby should contact the DRS SOS hotline. Sharing your COCOHELI ID with rescue teams can dramatically speed up response time.
Be Prepared. Stay Safe.
